Who We Are
MADVoters is a grassroots nonprofit founded in 2023 by Hoosiers, for Hoosiers. Our mission is to empower civic engagement and promote progressive policy through state-level advocacy, outreach, and education.
We educate Hoosiers on voting, legislation, elections, and all things civics so they feel empowered to advocate for themselves at the ballot box, the statehouse, and beyond.
At MADVoters, our vision is Mutually Assured Democracy – a state where people are civically informed, empowered, and engaged.
MADVoters is volunteer-powered, and we offer many ways to get involved. Submit our volunteer survey to let us know your interests and skills.

ADVOCACY
The Advocacy Department is MADVoters’ education hub, which oversees social media content development, bill tracking, and messaging.
Our advocacy work has helped defeat the 2025 early redistricting scheme, advocate for tax-free period products, and oppose restrictions to early voting, among our many focus areas.
Every legislative session, we track over 100 bills, providing Hoosiers with easy-to-understand summaries and calls to action on important bills.
OUTREACH
MADVoters’ Outreach Department puts boots on the ground, meeting Hoosiers within their communities to provide accessible civic education.
In 2025, our volunteers attended 120 events across Indiana, totalling over 1,000 hours, including Pride festivals, community events, educational workshops, and more.
MADVoters Civics Literacy Labs
We reached almost 500 Hoosiers in 2025, providing in-depth civics education workshops to small groups across the state.
POLITICAL ENGAGEMENT
MADVoters’ Political Engagement Department ensures that every Hoosier is vote-ready through voter registration and education.
MADVoters Voter Guide
Our team prepares a comprehensive candidate scoring guide so voters know where candidates stand on the issues that matter most.
MADVoters Verified Politicians (MVP)
Our MVP program has provided guidance to over 200 progressive candidates on the frontlines of our democracy.
WHAT WE FIGHT FOR
We are not an arm of any political party, and we aren't part of a national organization. We're a team of volunteers who believes the principles we’re fighting for are good for every Hoosier - not just Republicans or Democrats.
We believe that every Hoosier deserves fairness, transparency, and accountability from their government.
We advocate for affordable and accessible healthcare, fully funded public education, economic equity, democracy, and safe and inclusive communities.
