You can request an absentee ballot for a variety of reasons. You must request a ballot by the deadline for each election.

You can return it in-person, a family member can return it, or it can be mailed in, as long as it's received before the deadline.

Request your absentee ballot online by clicking on "Visit My Voter Portal" or by downloading the form, filling it out, and sending it in.

Every county must have specific hours available to vote before Election Day. The polls are typically less busy and easiest to access during this period.

Some counties have "Vote Centers" where you can vote anywhere in the county that you reside.

You can contact your County's Board of Election or go online to find voting information based on your address.

POLLS ARE OPEN 6AM - 6PM LOCAL TIME ON ELECTION DAY.

YOU MUST HAVE YOUR PICTURE ID.

IF YOU ARE IN LINE BEFORE CLOSING, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO GET YOUR VOTE IN.

IF YOU ARE UNSURE OR HAVE QUESTIONS, ASK A POLL WORKER.

EACH POLL HAS REPRESENTATION THAT OVERSEES EVERYTHING FROM BOTH MAJOR POLITICAL PARTIES. THEY ARE THERE TO HELP YOU.

You can check your Voter status and find your polling location by going to "Visit My Voter Portal" or contacting your local Board of Elections who are knowledgeable and available to answer questions for you year-round.

If you happen to become homebound due to your own illness or injury, are caring for someone who is homebound, or believe your polling location is not accessible based on a disability.

There is a deadline to make this request, along with an application that needs to be submitted to your county Board of Elections.
