Healthcare: The Big Beautiful Bill is projected to cut $31 billion from Indiana’s Medicaid funding, including almost $13 billion in hospital funding, over the next decade. What will you do if elected to ensure healthcare affordability and access given these changes? (Source: Indiana Hospital Association)
First, I’m a supporter of universal healthcare but in Indiana the Medicaid program needs to be expanded to cover more Hoosiers who cannot afford or have access to coverage otherwise. The sick often present in ERs with advanced medical conditions that could have been prevented or at least treated in a less expensive outpatient environment . The patients are unable to pay for the astronomical price of critical care and the hospital costs raise to cover the losses from uninsured patients or receive federal grant funding to offset. The only way to improve this system is to work towards universal.

Hoosiers wellbeing should be first priority - preserving fresh water supplies and clean air is essential for our survival. The data centers that are taking way more from the communities than they are contributing and receiving major tax incentives to do so. This was a great deal for someone, but not us. I’m not sure why our government lured them here but I think there are some things that need to be looked into when we get these current house representatives replaced with people who care about their communities and not profits.
Our communities should have had a say in this - I don’t think we have all the information on these facilities and they will eventually be abandoned and obsolete (Digital Dust Bowl) and the responsibility will fall on tax payers not the billionaires dollar to remediate and clean up. We have to think about our future.
Education: Describe your stance on the Department of Education and its role in education administration, funding, and protections for students with disabilities.
Education: Since 2012, Indiana has spent over $5.5 billion in taxpayer dollars on charter schools and the private school voucher program. If elected, would you support or oppose the use of taxpayer dollars to funding private schools and charter schools? Why or why not? (Source: ICPE)
I oppose the use of vouchers to pay for private schooling or charter schools. Parents who wish to send their children to private schools may do so, at a cost they should be responsible for 100%. Public schools are required to accept all students of all abilities and provide adequate interventions and supports to ensure they have the best chance at receiving an education. The private schools are not required to accept any student and they are not required to meet mandates and ensure learning is occurring. This is a scam!
Democracy: In your opinion, what is the biggest challenge or threat facing our democracy right now? If elected, what will you do to help overcome this challenge or threat?
Corruption. Greed. The elected leaders are focused on profits for the corporations and the lives of Hoosiers aren’t a consideration. They accept money from lobbyists and write legislation to serve the ones who serve them. They do not represent US. They aren’t even pretending anymore - they ignore constituents and continue to destroy our state.
Community: Describe your stance on ICE and its role in immigration enforcement and detention.
Community: What role or responsibility do local and state governments have with regards to immigration enforcement?
They should not be involved in immigration matters.
