I have been and will continue to be a proponent not only for protecting Medicaid but expanding it. The state needs to advocate for it and to do its best to step up under the current circumstances.

I have consistently opposed the corporate welfare that underlies these proposals. I have been a strong advocate for home rule in Indiana and an opponent of state preemption. I am also known for my work stopping the large-scale transfer of water necessary for these large industrial sites.

Education: Since 2012, Indiana has spent over $5.5 billion in taxpayer dollars on charter schools and the private school voucher program. If elected, would you support or oppose the use of taxpayer dollars to funding private schools and charter schools? Why or why not? (Source: ICPE)
Oppose. Public funding for education should fund public education.
Democracy: In your opinion, what is the biggest challenge or threat facing our democracy right now? If elected, what will you do to help overcome this challenge or threat?
Kleptocracy, militarism, lying, distortion of science, attacks on academic freedom. Holding our government agencies accountable and making government transparent. Advocating for peace. Sharing accurate scientific knowledge. Opposing legislation that restricts freedom of speech and tenure.
