Expand Medicaid access for Hoosiers, simplify the process, and ensure that providers are appropriately paid to ensure funding for rural hospitals and prevent price increases for non-Medicaid patients by providers forced to decrease their deficits.

We must prioritize our local communities before corporate interests. Environmental protections, appropriate zoning regulations, fair tax rates, long term job creation, union labor requirements, and local utility rate protections are just some of the steps that must be implemented before any development is approved.
Education: Describe your stance on the Department of Education and its role in education administration, funding, and protections for students with disabilities.
Education: Since 2012, Indiana has spent over $5.5 billion in taxpayer dollars on charter schools and the private school voucher program. If elected, would you support or oppose the use of taxpayer dollars to funding private schools and charter schools? Why or why not? (Source: ICPE)
I strongly oppose the voucher program and state funding of private schools. I also oppose the statewide push toward forcing public schools to sell off property to charter schools for next to nothing. If we’re funding an institution, it must be held to the same standards as other state funded institutions.
Democracy: In your opinion, what is the biggest challenge or threat facing our democracy right now? If elected, what will you do to help overcome this challenge or threat?
Protecting single-party rule through gerrymandering is one of the highest threats on the state level that must be stopped. Partisan cheating is wrong no matter who does it.
Community: Describe your stance on ICE and its role in immigration enforcement and detention.
Community: What role or responsibility do local and state governments have with regards to immigration enforcement?
Our state government should not be involved in immigration enforcement. We already have a system that when an individual with questionable immigration status is charged with a crime, their case is referred to the federal agency. ICE in its current form is not immigration enforcement, it’s an instrument of tyranny that Indiana should have no involvement with.
